What I find in The Writers’ Room is a place of open containment. The Room’s huge windows, its utter tolerance for any form, any style, any viewpoint, let me wander— while its walls and sub-walls, cushioned floor, the rule of silence, help me feel secure. I can put down words here. --Rosemary Booth
"The Writers' Room is an oasis of stillness and focus in a desert of clamor and distraction. For ten years, it's been the place I begin from as a writer--sometimes literally (a physical place I can go to and be alone with my work), sometimes in spirit (knowing it's there, and knowing the people I've met there, is a reminder of the rewards of the writing life and of the community that arises from what tends to be a solitary process). I can't imagine what it'd be like if the Room weren't there, but fortunately, I don't have to." -- Bob Dall
